The Audio on Cue iPhone/iPod application allows you to create a play list using the audio items in your iPod library on your device. Unlike playing the list in your iPod application, songs are played one-at-a-time on your command - the next song in the list doesn't start until you tell it to. I created this application because I needed a better way to control the music played from my device in live events. I tried adding "silent songs" in between songs, but sometimes I still forgot or needed to attend to other things and failed to stop the player in time. This application improved the quality of my sound in my live events: no more "oops the sound guy screwed up" mistakes.
Because of the specialized nature of this application, it does not play well with others on the iPhone/iPad. If you exit the application while playing a song, the song will quit playing. When the application is not active, it may not be in control of the sound being played. Therefore, it gives up control - by design.
The Play List ListWhen the application is started, it displays the list of play lists that are defined.
At this screen you can do the following: - Tap the Edit button to re-order or delete items in the list
- Tap the "+" button to create a new play list
- Tap an existing play list to play the play list
Edit/Add Play List
At this screen you can do the following: - Tap the name to change/edit the name value
- Tap "-" to delete the adjacent audio item
- Tap "+" to add new audio items by selecting them from the iPod library
- Reorder the audio items (by dragging the table image on the left of each item)
- Cancel or Save the changes by taping the associated button in the navigation bar
Play Play List
At this screen you can do the following: - Tap
the Play Lists button to return to the play list list screen - this will stop the current audio item if it is playing.
- Tap the edit button to edit the current play list. This option is not available if the audio item is being played.
- Adjust the current position within the current audio item by dragging the marker on the top slider.
- Adjust the volume by dragging the marker on the bottom slider. (The relative volume level is given above it for your reference.)
- Play/pause the current audio item.
- Move to the previous or next audio item in the play list. (Doing so will not start playing the audio item until you tell it to.)
